Tim was honored to have his painting “I Love Your Hair” selected for inclusion in the Outwin 2016 “American Portraiture Today” exhibition at The Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery in Washington, D.C..

Thank you so much to the NPG for orchestrating a beautiful VIP preview and opening event in March! Tim would also like to thank Karla Ferguson-Soimaud and Jerome Soimaud for lending the painting from their private collection for the duration of the exhibition, which runs from March 12, 2016 through January 8, 2017 in D.C. before going on tour to several museums around the country.

This special evening serves as MoCada’s primary fundraising and cultivation event, benefiting the museum significantly, as it embarks upon a new capital campaign to raise monies for online and in-gallery educational programs and to fund the development of a new larger museum in Brooklyn.
